Come along
on a mythical journey
to find the spiritual path!
I
wrote my little book, Along the Winding Path: A Little Personal Journey, after my first darshan (blessing) from Amma
(http://www.amma.org/) in 2002, where I asked to write a spiritual story. I had always wanted to write a story that winds through layered realms,
like Dante's stories that I loved so much, and so I had my structure in place.
My story takes us down a mythical path that leads
to Tirwana, where Life is One with All That Is. Mythology itself consists of stories created by the collective subconscious,
and this story is one that springs from our own time and place. The seven layers of obstacles or distractions from the path
in our modern culture and personal lives are familiar to us all—and yet our path to finding that place of Oneness always
awaits us, always gently guides us along our way if we only listen to its quiet presence.
I Love living in Boston, and I will let you know that the Life-giving
river that runs through the story, always within sight of the path, is inspired by my tranquil and beautiful walks along the
Charles River!
I hope
that my story touches your heart and awakens your Spirit as it stirs some memory of your inner self—an inner self that
knows the way even in the midst of our daily lives in a world sometimes gone awry. And as we do open our hearts and hear our
Spirit speak to us, we remember Who We Really Are, beyond the temporary details of our time and place!
